What is The Re:Generation?
The Re:Generation is a global movement of next generation leaders. Over the next decade, these people will build the businesses and organisations that regenerate our planet and societies, repairing damaged ecosystems and creating economies that work on behalf of Nature, not against it.
A small and carefully chosen collective, supported by EdenLab, has been created to help convene The Re:Generation, to support and inspire them, to connect them and to power them up to drive the deeper transformation and bolder actions the world needs now.
Who’s this for?
It’s right for you if…
You believe that Sustainability as it is today is unsustainable. You want to spend more energy and time in getting us out of the hole we’re in rather than simply measuring it. If you’re prepared to immerse yourself in every aspect of your value chain, understand why it is like it is, build a value case for transformation, use data not just to report but to optimise your transformation and support your colleagues in delivering it.
What are we asking of you?
By co-signing the manifesto you agree to champion The Re:Generation wherever you see it. You’ll do it as part of a collective so you’ll never be exposed or required to do the heavy lifting on your own.
You might contribute fresh ideas, share and amplify the great work of others, you’ll connect the young talent the future so desperately needs with opportunities and you will choose one of the actions on the list.

Sustainability professionals have played a vital role in getting us started, making valiant efforts in the face of lip service, legacy habits and profitable business models past their Best Before date.
But this is bigger than any one role or function. Every leader needs to get their head around what’s coming and what’s needed. Just like they did with ‘digital’ 15 years ago - except this time, the stakes are so much higher.
So this is not just about redesigning and boosting the capabilities of the CSO 2.0, this is C-suite 2.0
The people, businesses and brands that become tomorrow’s cultural icons will be those who take on the challenge of this new form of leadership: Deeply transformational, radically collaborative (because all of us are smarter than one of us), smartly experimental and moving with urgent agility.
The Re:Generation
Here’s to the disruptors, the restless visionaries, and the sustainability champions tired of corporate complacency. You’re done with checklists and incremental steps that go nowhere while the stakes climb. The world needs leaders who don’t just mitigate harm but build businesses that restore and regenerate. It needs you to take bold, immediate action that shifts sustainability from side-project to core strategy, from compliance to commerce.
Forget the platitudes about “doing less harm.” This is about transforming every decision into a force for good. Constraints aren’t obstacles; they’re the spark for the radical rethinking we need. Imagine companies competing not just for profit but for a future they help shape - a future where businesses don’t just exist and extract but lead the regeneration of ecosystems, communities, and markets.
So here’s to you - the ones ready to redefine success and put real impact at the heart of business. You’re not just keeping up with change; you’re driving it. The world needs you and the organisations you’re transforming, built for the long haul. Time to build what the world actually needs, because the future cannot wait.

The Re:Generation Projects:
C-suite 2.0
“C-Suite 2.0" represents a transformative evolution in leadership roles, focusing on integrating sustainability and regeneration into core business strategies.
It emphasises a forward-thinking, purpose-driven approach to corporate leadership, where traditional business metrics are balanced with a commitment to environmental and social responsibilities.
Leaders in this paradigm are not merely reducing harm but are actively fostering regenerative practices and envisioning a future where sustainability drives innovation and competitive advantage.
Key to C-Suite 2.0 is the mindset shift towards viewing sustainability as an opportunity for growth and impact, rather than a compliance-driven obligation.
This requires leaders to be collaborators, facilitators, and visionaries, capable of inspiring teams and stakeholders. They must harness hard and soft skills to navigate complex challenges, explore innovative solutions, and adapt rapidly to shifting market and societal expectations.
Ultimately, C-Suite 2.0 leaders are architects of change, embedding sustainability at the heart of their organizations and positioning their businesses to thrive in a regenerative economy
